Lindsay Kooser | Founder and Lead Coordinator
Topeka, Lawrence & Kansas City, Kansas
Hi, I’m Lindsay K!
When I’m not planning events, you’ll find me spending time with my husband Jared and soaking up as much playtime with our son Konner as we can. Jared and I were married for ten years before Konner came into our lives. We’ve had such a fun time and are so in love with our little boy.
Most people think I sip coffee in my slippers from my home office all day, but planning events is hard work. I obviously coordinate on wedding day, but every other day I’m coordinating meetings between vendors and brides, discussing future weddings with our coordinators, and planning our training classes, bridal shows, and online events. In 2020 we launched our first Bridal Magazine and our My Wedding Planner is now for sale on AMAZON!
I’ve been working in the wedding industry since 2010, and it has been such a fun experience! I’m a graphic designer by trade and started my first business designing wedding stationery. I loved working in the industry and added Wedding Planning and Coordination as a service to brides.
In 2018 I launched our new business, Veil Events. I developed a training program that allowed me to add team members, and we now have six coordinators with Veil Events. We also just launched an online bridal training program to help even more brides with their wedding planning.
Being the owner of Veil Events has been my dream job. I initially never thought about working in the wedding industry. If I did, I never thought I could make a living doing it. With hard work and the support of my amazing family, it’s been such a successful adventure. I’m so excited for the future of Veil Events, and I’m looking forward to helping so many couples with their dream wedding.

I was born and raised in Topeka, KS. After attending the University of Kansas for college, I secured a position in client services at a Kansas City marketing company and have lived in KC ever since. It is in this role that I learned that I love a good to-do list.
I started assisting in wedding coordination and venue management part-time five years ago. Currently, I also work for a startup helping with marketing and product development.
In my downtime, you’ll probably find me hanging out with friends or family, whether it be watching a KU or Chiefs game, vegging out on the couch watching a Netflix series, or reading a good book. I’m a sucker for a good project so I am constantly changing something in my house, baking, or completing a random craft project.
I have a fur baby, a cat, named Selby. My parents still live in Topeka and my two sisters live in Denver and Chicago. I try to make it home and travel as much as I can to visit.

I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and lived there for about three years after college and before moving to Dodge City, KS, to be with my now-husband. Both considered ‘Windy Cities’ but couldn’t be more different
When I’m not working weddings, I love hanging out with family and friends, doing hot yoga, exploring neighborhood coffee shops, rooting on the Jayhawks, and traveling!
I am currently working for the corporate event planning company in Chicago that I started with directly after college. I work remotely for them on a part-time basis and frequently travel back to Chicago to help them with large meetings for Fortune 500 companies. It is a great experience, and I love the team that I work with!
My husband Brad and I live in Topeka, KS, with our almost 11-year old black lab, Drake. We moved to Topeka in 2018 for my husband’s job after living in Dodge City, KS. We miss being so close to my husband’s family back in Dodge, but love Topeka so far and close to some of our good friends in Kansas City and Lawrence.
My favorite part of wedding day is the moment right before the ceremony starts. Lining up the bridal party and family, the anticipation, the excitement, and the sweet moments between mother and son or father and daughter before walking down the aisle always make me tear up. It’s the calm before the storm, and it’s a beautiful moment to be a part of.
